Pershore Jazz Club – DixieMix Jazz Band

DixieMix Jazz Band, led by Simon Nelson on trumpet and flugel horn, rapidly established itself as one of the UK’s most engaging and industrious jazz ensembles.

The band brings together the best jazz musicians in the South East of England. Their talent, knowledge and enthusiasm for traditional jazz combines with ease to provide outstanding entertainment for all occasions. With the emphasis always on first class music mixed with great humour, this band never fails to provide a top-quality performance.

The band is a professional six piece excelling with fresh and slick arrangements of many jazz favourites old and new and all with the DixieMix twist. Their enthusiastic approach has helped the band gain national recognition, leading to a tour with Rod Stewart, TV appearances and multiple festival and theatre gigs.

As well as playing for established jazz audiences, they are equally at home letting rip with an entertaining show creating a feel-good factor designed to please everyone.
