Returning after a completely smashing first year, the Rik Mayall Comedy Festival is a volunteer-led festival inspired by the fearless, anarchic spirit of one of Britain’s most influential comedy actors, held in his hometown of Droitwich Spa. Centred around the Norbury Theatre, where Rik first discovered his love of performing, the festival combines a curated programme of headline shows with a lively fringe of pop-up performances, workshops, screenings and community events across the town.

Tickets are on sale now and are selling fast. Audiences are encouraged to explore the 100+ fringe events taking place across Droitwich Spa, many of which are free or pay-what-you-want, making it easy to discover new talent and experience comedy in unexpected places.

Big-name headliners, family friendly shows, workshops, musical acts and exciting emerging talent will appear alongside special events inspired by Rik’s legacy. The festival is proudly supported by Rik Mayall’s family and patron Ben Elton, and aims to honour Rik’s influence while supporting the next generation of comedy talent.

Accessibility and inclusion are core to the festival, with a wide range of venues and events designed to be welcoming and accessible. Expect playful pop-ups, community moments and a town-wide burst of comedy bringing visitors, laughter and energy to Droitwich Spa.
